Check out Inter player ratings in their 1-0 win over Benfica at San Siro in the Champions League.

Sommer 6 – This time he didn’t concede at the near post, avoiding Benfica’s early opener.

Pavard 6 – A few errors in the build-up, but was solid defensively.

Acerbi 6.5 – Inter’s defensive leader. He was never in trouble.

Bastoni 6.5 – So composed with and without the ball.

Dumfries 7 – His passes were more accurate than his shots as the Dutchman wasted a couple of chances before delivering the assist for Thuram’s winner. (72’ Darmian 6)

Barella 7.5 – Came close to scoring in the first half, but Trubin saved it. Contributed to Thuram’s goal with a through ball for Dumfries. Inter’s heart and soul. (90’ Klaassen N/A)

Calhanoglu 7 – Impressive stamina and quality. More than a playmaker: a complete midfielder.

Mkhitaryan 6.5 – Had the first chance in the game and used his experience to win duels in the middle of the park.

Dimarco 7 – Brought so much quality down the left flank. The Italian had also scored a goal, but he was offside. (83’ Carlos Augusto N/A)

Thuram 7.5 – Linked up well with Lautaro and gave Inter a deserved lead in the second half. (72’ Alexis 6)

Lautaro 7 – Could have scored four goals again, but finished the game empty-handed. Hit the crossbar with an outside foot shot, then hit the post again with the left foot. He had at least three more chances in the second half, but Trubin had other plans. Unlucky.

Inzaghi 7 – Inter took a while to get in the game, but the second half was extraordinary. The Nerazzurri dominated Benfica but should have scored more goals.
