Atalanta are set to make a handful of changes to the team that beat Fiorentina 3-2 over the weekend when an injury-hit Arsenal visit the Gewiss Stadium for a Thursday night Champions League kick-off.
Mateo Retegui and the in-form Ademola Lookman are expected to lead the line in a 3-4-1-2, but this morning’s reports suggest that Gian Piero Gasperini is more likely to start Mario Pasalic in the advanced midfield role instead of Charles De Ketelaere.
Summer signing Raoul Bellanova could start at wing-back, while Davide Zappacosta looks more likely to play on the left over Matteo Ruggeri.
Berat Djimsiti, Isak HIen and former Arsenal-man Sead Kolasinac are tipped to start in the back three.
Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini remain out long-term. Ben Godfrey and Rafael Toloi are expected to be unavailable as well.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have a few injury concerns to contend with. Captain Martin Odegaard and summer signing Mikel Merino are out, and while Bukayo Saka could be available, he is unlikely to start.
Riccardo Calafiori has just returned to training after the minor injury he picked up during the most recent international break, so he is not expected to start either. Jorginho is likely to start on the bench.
