Gianluca Frabotta of Juventus and Verona’s Matteo Lovato are among the new faces in the Italy Under-21 squad to face Iceland and the Republic of Ireland.
The Azzurrini continue their European Championship qualifiers in Reykjavik on Friday October 9 and in Pisa against Ireland on Tuesday October 13.
There are three newcomers in the squad called up by coach Paolo Nicolato, specifically Virtus Entella goalkeeper Alessandro Russo, full-backs Frabotta of Juventus and Lovato of Verona.

Frabotta surprised many when he was in the starting line-up for Andrea Pirlo’s first Juventus match at the helm against Sampdoria.
Gianluca Scamacca is also called up and a statement points out he is not affected by the COVID-19 outbreak at Genoa, because although he just signed for the club, he hasn’t had any contact with the squad.
