The squad had flown in to Reykjavik, where they were due to play the European Under-21 Championship qualifier.
However, the game was postponed after two Azzurrini players tested positive for Coronavirus.

According to Sport Mediaset, Milan defender Gabbia and goalkeeper Plizzari were today given permission to leave Iceland and return to Italy with a special flight.
They are accompanied by the chief medic of the Italy Under-21 team and, once back in the Peninsula, all will into self-isolation.
There had already been two positive cases within the Under-21 group in Italy, Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni and Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.
