The Azzurrini topped their group after victories over Mexico and Ecuador were followed up by a goalless draw with Japan on Wednesday.

Poland, on the other hand, came third in their group on four points behind Senegal and Colombia.

The host nation lost their first game 2-0 to Colombia before smashing five past Tahiti in the second.

They played out a goalless stalemate with Senegal in their final game, which meant they qualified for the next round as one of the best third-place finishers beating out Norway.

U20 Coach Paolo Nicolato led his side to a 3-0 win over Poland last September, while they also won 6-1 in September 2017.

“It will be a great game, against a very strong team and will be a very important experience for the lads,” he told his Press conference.

“It will be good for them to play in front of such a large crowd against the home team, they will learn from it.

“Poland are a different team to the one we last played, they have made some changes, but at the same time so have we. They are physical and will be motivated by the home crowd, so will be a difficult match.”
