Kean was on target during the opening minutes of tonight’s 3-0 victory over Poland in Lodz, then completed the rout in the second half on Capone’s assist.
In the middle, Sassuolo-owned Gianluca Scamacca found the back of the net on an indirect free kick inside the box.
“It was a wonderful performance from the whole team and above all I admired the spirit of sacrifice that saw everyone work together,” said Coach Paolo Nicolato.
“Kean knows how to put himself at the service of the team and never holds back during the 90 minutes.”
Italy are currently joint top of the table in the tournament with England, who beat Switzerland 2-0, while Portugal and the Netherlands played out a goalless draw.
Germany and the Czech Republic play tomorrow and complete the contenders.
