The Italian Under-19 squad beat Finland 3-0 to take another step towards next year’s European Championship finals in Armenia.
The Azzurri, who finished as runners-up in 2018, are coached by Federico Guidi and now progress to the ‘Elite Round’ of competition in March, which will ultimately determine next summer’s finalists.
Having already beaten the hosts Estonia 1-0 in their opening match, the Azzurri made light work of Finland, who gifted Guidi’s side an opener after four minutes thanks to an own goal from Johannes Kytilä.

Roma’s Alessio Riccardi doubled their advantage before Atalanta defender Davide Bettella settled the contest by converting a penalty 10 minutes from time.
Italy’s final game is against Denmark on Tuesday, but they can go into that fixture safe in the knowledge that their passage to the final elimination rounds is now confirmed.
