Coach Ciro Ferrara has called up 23 players for an Under-21 get-together, including nine new faces and a Chelsea midfielder.

The Azzurrini will hold a three-day get-together from Sunday evening in Rome, which concludes with a friendly against Swiss club side Bellinzona.

Ferrara has opted to use this time to view a host of new starlets, receiving their first Under-21 call-ups.

The nine newcomers are 19-year-old Chievo goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, Triestina shot-stopper Sergio Viotti, Juventus defender Vincenzo Camilleri and Empoli's Daniele Mori.
