Genoa forward Goran Pandev and Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic have been hit with two-match bans in today’s Giudice Sportivo verdict.

Pandev is punished for not only receiving a red card during the 2-2 draw with Lecce but also insulting the referee, which in turn saw him fined €12,000.

He will therefore miss Genoa’s final two games of 2019, including the Derby della Lanterna against Sampdoria.

Maksimovic, meanwhile, has avoided a fine but won’t be available against Parma or Sassuolo after being sent off from the bench.

The Giudice Sportivo writes his behaviour was unacceptable as he made insulting remarks to an official during Napoli’s 1-1 draw at Udinese.

Elsewhere, Kevin Agudelo, Juan Cuadrado, Pawel Dawidowicz, Andrea Cistana, Jasmin Kurtic, Fabio Lucioni, Gianluca Mancini, Jacopo Petriccione, Miralem Pjanic and Marko Rog are all banned for one game each.

Atalanta have been handed two fines – one of €10,000 for the misconduct of President Antonio Percassi in the dressing rooms and one of €3,000 after their fans threw plastic bottles on to the pitch against Verona.

Finally, Percassi must pay a personal fine of €10,000 for criticising the VAR in the control room at the end of the first half.
