Tuttosport continue to insist Paul Pogba is waiting for a return to Juventus in 2021, maybe even in January, by stalling his Manchester United renewal.

The 27-year-old had the best form of his career so far in Turin from 2012-16, before the €105m move back to Old Trafford, where he’d been largely ignored in their youth academy.

Rumours of a swing back to the Bianconeri have been circling from practically months since he left and nobody has kept those going more than Tuttosport.

They place Pogba on the front page of today’s edition, claiming he is stalling a new contract with Manchester United because he is waiting for Juve to step in and make an offer.

His current deal runs to June 2021, but there is an option to extend for another year, so technically it’s 2022.

Nothing is expected to happen this summer, but the situation could already have changed by January.

Pogba’s former teammate Andrea Pirlo is now the Juventus coach and they would relish a reunion.
