Inter are still looking for replacements for main shirt sponsor DigitalBits and had a positive meeting with Turkish Airlines, reports detail.
DigitalBits became the Nerazzurri’s main shirt sponsor last summer, replacing Socios.com, but things went wrong almost immediately and the cryptocurrency outlet failed to meet their payments, forcing the club to begin searching for alternatives. The case has dragged on for months now and the DigitalBits logo is still present front and centre on Inter’s shirts.
As reported by Sport Mediaset, Inter directors met with representatives from Turkish Airlines yesterday to discuss a possible sponsorship agreement, with the airline strongly interested in investing in the club.
It was a positive meeting and further developments could emerge in the coming weeks. Turkish Airlines are not alone, however, as an unnamed sponsor from the Middle East are also interested in sponsoring the Nerazzurri.
Inter were previously sponsored by local tyre manufacturer Pirelli, whose logo became an iconic part of the kit across their 26-year partnership.
