Turkey have named their squad for the friendly match against Italy on March 29, although CSKA Moscow striker Yusuf Yazici is in doubt and Burak Yilmaz retired from international duty.

The game will take place on Tuesday evening in Konya.

It is between the losing sides in the World Cup play-offs, as Italy were beaten 1-0 by North Macedonia, while Turkey lost 3-1 in Portugal.

Burak Yilmaz missed a penalty during that game, which would’ve made it 2-2, and said the error will haunt him for the rest of his days.

It was also his final match in the Turkey jersey, as he announced his retirement from international duty.

Yazici, who scored a hat-trick for Lille against Milan in the Europa League last season, remains in doubt with a slight injury concern, as he did not take part in full training today.

There are several familiar faces, including Sassuolo defenders Mert Muldur and Kaan Ayhan, Atalanta centre-back Merih Demiral and Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, not to mention Roma-owned Cengiz Under.
