The final round of group games continues and, even though the world champions have already gone through, these Tunisia vs. France predictions suggest that they could make it three out of three.

Tunisia vs. France odds

1 – France to win – 8/15

2 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 11/10

3 – Both teams to score – 11/10

4 – France to win and BTTS  – 3/1

5 – France to score a penalty – 7/2

Kylian Mbappé scored twice against Denmark on Saturday to ensure that France were the first team to qualify for the round of 16. His pace and determination frightened the Danes all night and now he will relish a run at a Tunisian defence that can sometimes quickly resort to fouling to get themselves out of trouble.

That is one reason why we think that a bet on France to score a penalty is a good shout. But the world champions shouldn’t have too much trouble completing a 100% group stage record on Wednesday, even without a spot kick goal.

France have already scored six in just two World Cup 2022 games and another two or three against Tunisia should not be discounted, even if Didier Deschamps tinkers with his starting eleven to give some of the big names a rest.

But there could be a chance of Tunisia finding the net as well. With still an outside chance of progressing themselves, Jalel Kadri’s side will surely go all out to record what would be an incredible victory. There have been some big shocks at this tournament already, of course.

After battling to a very creditable draw in the first game against Denmark, Tunisia will be disappointed to lose to Australia. There is an intensity in this side though – and one that breaks very quickly on the counter-attack.

Beating France would be a huge upset though and it is much more likely that the world champions round off the group stage with a comprehensive win that sets them up nicely for the knock out stages and a run at becoming the first nation to win back-to-back World Cups since Brazil in 1962.

Tunisia team news

Jalel Kadri has been loyal to his starting eleven in the two games so far, only bringing in Naïm Sliti for Anis Ben Slimane for the game against Australia – and he could stick with that for this final fixture. The three at the back will look like a five for the majority of this one – only transitioning on the counter.

France team news

Didier Deschamps could make a few changes for this one, with France already having booked their berth in the round of 16. Marcus Thuram, Kingsley Coman and Ibrahima Konaté could all start but fans will want Kylian Mbappé to get a full run out once again.
