Igor Tudor claims Hellas Verona ‘showed personality’ in their 3-2 win over Roma at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The Croat had been appointed earlier this week after Eusebio Di Francesco’s sacking.

“I’m clearly happy. It’s a good win and it comes after a long time,” the former Juventus assistant told DAZN.

“The lads put in an extraordinary performance. It wasn’t an easy game, but we kept the same intensity for the whole game and I am really happy.

“We can always improve, we need the right mentality and never give up. We need to improve our playing style, but it takes personality to win a game like this,” he added.

“My friend Juric made a great job here over the last two years. I need to add something to what he did.

“I tried to do anything I could, but it wasn’t easy with only a few days available. I am their third coach in just a few months.”
