Igor Tudor believes that Juventus were too frantic, nervous and misplaced too many passes in their 2-2 draw away against Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, but insists that his defenders are performing ‘better than anyone else’ despite suggestions that his side are conceding too many goals.
The Bianconeri fell behind, then came back to lead 2-1, and were then dealt a last-minute blow by 2024-25 loanee Renato Veiga, who found the net from a corner in the 90th minute in the Champions League league phase on Wednesday night.

Tudor: ‘I’m sorry, Juventus can’t lose a game like that’

Tudor began his post-match interview with an apology for the Juventus supporters, and insisted that his side ‘can’t’ be conceding last minute goals from corners as they did in Spain.
“I’m sorry, it’s part of the game. You can’t lose a game in the last seconds from a corner like that. We’ll take this point and move on.
“We worked and prepared as best we could, but we did have some difficulties. There was too much of a frenzy and too many nerves. Too many simple passes we got wrong.”
Juventus looked a much improved side in the second half, prior to Veiga’s equaliser. Tudor says that full credit must go to half-time substitute Francisco Conceicao.

“Chico came on and made the difference. We did what we could, even with some mistakes. Unfortunately they came in the last few minutes.”
When asked if Juventus have an ‘issue’ with conceding, Tudor replied: “The three defenders are doing better than anyone else. We need to be winning more second balls. The three at the back held the fort for the whole game.”
And on goalscorer Federico Gatti specifically, he added: “It was a great goal, he had a great game.
“There’s always a feeling of regret when you concede a goal in the last minute. It would be nice to play 90 minutes at the highest possible level, but it’s not easy. We have our weaknesses, too,” Tudor concluded.

Koop is a disaster
Aahhh Rubentus …. they used to believe in Italian players & won Champions Cup. Look at ’em now, mediocre players with mediocre coach, they’d be lucky enough if they could go through quarter finals. Oh and that Yildiz kid? Way too overrated.
Whoever signed Koopminers needs to be sacked. We are stuck with him as no other club will be stupid enough to buy him. He can not be a footballer!
Tudor should build his team without koopmeiners as the player is not ready to measure up
Omaria, inna marotta league kid speaking lol
