Olympique Marseille coach Igor Tudor, linked with the Juventus job, reveals he will talk to the directors of his club next week: ‘We’re on good terms.’

The former Croatia international, a former Juventus defender and assistant coach of Andrea Pirlo in 2020-21, is one of the candidates to replace Massimiliano Allegri next season.

Questioned on his future at the club during a press conference on Thursday, Tudor replied: “I think I’ll talk to Marseille next week. I am on good terms with them and I think I never had this sort of relationship and sharing of ideas before.

“I have maximum support in everything. They believe in what I am doing. They are all high-level directors, but we’ll see next week.”

Tudor spent almost a decade at Juventus as a footballer, playing in Turin from 1998 to 2005. He scored 21 goals in 174 appearances with the Old Lady during his stay at the club.

The 45-year-old has already coached Udinese and Hellas Verona in Serie A and was hired by Marseille in 2022. The Ligue 1 side sit third in the table, 11 points below leaders PSG.

Juventus directors are reportedly considering the future of Massimiliano Allegri who is under contract at the Allianz Stadium until June 2025.

  1. I really hope that we DON’T appoint Tuder! We need a great and experienced manager. It feels like all this crap started with appointing Pirlo…
