Thomas Tuchel says Chelsea will ‘give time’ to Cesare Casadei and comments again on the clash with Antonio Conte.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Casadei from Inter today.

The 19-year-old has joined the Blues on a permanent €15m deal plus €5m add-ons.

Casadei will initially join the Blues’ U-21 squad and Tuchel insists the ex-Inter starlet will be given time to settle in at a new club and in a new country.

“We will give him time to learn the language, learn Chelsea, learn how we train and behave here on a daily basis,” Tuchel said at a press conference, as quoted by Football London.

Inter needed to sell Casadei to balance the books. He had yet to make his senior debut with the Nerazzurri, but captained their Primavera team to win the title last season, scoring in the play-off Final against Roma.

Tuchel was once again asked his view on the touchline row with Tottenham boss Antonio Conte last week.

The coaches almost came to blows during and after Chelsea-Tottenham and faced disciplinary action from the Premier League.

“I think it was passion between two men who fought for their team and I hope they don’t make more of it, in the context we had a hair pulling before,” said Tuchel, who admitted he enjoyed the memes surfaced on social media about the incident. “Of course I laugh. I laugh in the dressing room because it was in the heat of the match.”
