Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel claims Benjamin Pavard has not asked to leave and insists the Bavarians have received no offers for the French defender who has been linked with a move to Inter.

Pavard has been linked with Inter and Manchester United this summer, but the Nerazzurri already tried to sign him this past January as a potential replacement for the departing Milan Skriniar.

Bayern boss Tuchel provided an update about Pavard during a press conference on Thursday, on the eve of the first Bundesliga game of the season against Werder Bremen.

“He didn’t say to me that he wanted to leave. As of now, there is no offer. We are fully counting on him,” said the ex-Chelsea boss, as quoted by journalist Maximilian Koch.

Pavard, 27, has 10 months left in his contract with the Bundesliga giants meaning he will go as a free agent next summer if he doesn’t sign a contract extension.

The 2018 France World Cup winner said in November 2022 that he was open to moving to Serie A at some point in his career. This past April, he was spotted at San Siro to watch his compatriots Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez in a home game between Milan and Lecce.
