The agent of Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin confirms ‘Inter are showing interest and negotiations are still on-going between the clubs, but two English sides also want him.’

The 21-year-old Ukraine international has emerged as one of the main targets to replace Andre Onana, should the proposed transfer to Manchester United go through for at least €55m.

Inter-News.it and Sandro Caramazza contacted his agency, Part of the Game, to ask about the situation and received confirmation the Nerazzurri are leading the pack.

“Inter are showing interest for Trubin and negotiations are still on-going between the two clubs. In addition, there are also two English sides that want him.

“The most important condition for us is that he is the first-choice goalkeeper. Once that has been defined, our client will choose his next destination.

“We have not yet reached the point of setting a price-tag for Trubin.”

There had already been reports on Sky Sport Italia that Chelsea made an approach for Trubin, but he is far less likely to be a first-choice goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge than at San Siro.

Meanwhile, there were also suggestions that bringing in such a young and relatively inexperienced shot-stopper could mean Inter keeping Samir Handanovic for one more year as back-up.

Another candidate for the role is Emil Audero, who is on sale at relegated Sampdoria, as confirmed by his agent Tullio Tinti today.
