Milan opened the Trofeo TIM with a 2-1 win over Inter thanks to goals from new signings Andrea Bertolacci and Carlos Bacca.
The Rossoneri dominated the early stages of the 45-minute match, before Marcelo Brozovic pulled one back and a red card for Alex gave Milan a nervy finish.
Bertolacci scored within minutes of kick-off, after Bacca came down the left and curled in a cross that eluded everyone for the Italian to tap in at the back post.

The Colombian striker then doubled the Rossoneri’s haul as he shrugged off the challenge of Davide Santon, cut inside and buried a low finish beyond Samir Handanovic.
The Rossoneri were looking very comfortable, but the introduction of Brozovic almost turned things around for the Nerazzurri.
The Croatian pulled one back for Inter with a lovely curled shot from distance, before Alex was sent off for hauling down Mauro Icardi with the Argentine through on goal.
Brozovic almost grabbed a dramatic late equaliser, but was denied from 18 yards by a goal-line clearance from new Rossoneri defender Alessio Romagnoli.
