“Derbies are special games that defy predictions and gaps in quality. At times a single incident can turn the whole match on its head,” Trap told Tuttomercatoweb.
“I have lost derbies when we were in the lead and I’ve won them from behind. You cannot make a prediction. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended in a draw, though.”
“Both Roberto Mancini and Sinisa Mihajlovic got the players they wanted on the market, but certain sums seem over the top to me.
“With all due respect to Andrea Bertolacci, who is a good player, why pay €20m for him? The same is true of Alessio Romagnoli.
“Prices have been blown out of proportion and the more players are talked about, the higher the price-tag. It’s not right.”
Trapattoni was also asked about the race for the Serie A title and again cut Milan out.
“I say Lazio, Inter and Roma. Also, as always, keep an eye on Juventus.”
