The 76-year-old, who has coached Milan, Juventus, Inter, Cagliari and Fiorentina in Italy’s top flight, explained the appeal of Serie A while trying to calm doubts about the national team.
"Our league is the most beautiful in the world because it always gives you strong emotions,” he said to Tuttosport.

"Our league is the most beautiful in the world because it always gives you strong emotions,” he said to Tuttosport.
“Here there are many teams that can aspire to more prestigious targets, although in recent years we have witnessed the 'dictatorship' of Juventus.
“Italy don’t have Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi, so we must be happy with what we have at home.
“We have a clear identity and we are practical. Conte is very good, he manages to make the most of what he has available.
“The players believe in him, so we must as well. I’m sure that we will be among the top teams at the Euros.”
