Giovanni Trapattoni is confident Maurizio Sarri is ‘the right choice for Napoli’.
The Coach arrived at San Paolo from Empoli this summer, but is yet to win a Serie A game, and has been criticised by club legend Diego Maradona.
“I’ve been following Sarri’s work in real time,” Trapattoni told TMW Magazine.
“In every situation where he’s been working he’s always built a side capable of quality football and getting results.

“I’ve been following Sarri’s work in real time,” Trapattoni told TMW Magazine.
“In every situation where he’s been working he’s always built a side capable of quality football and getting results.
“[Former Coach] Rafael Benitez is definitely more popular with the media, but Sarri is the right choice for Napoli.”
Trapattoni won six Scudetti in his time as Juventus boss, as well as guiding Inter to the title, and gave his opinion on this year’s campaign.
“Juventus’ biggest rival? I’d have to say Inter. [Coach] Roberto Mancini, along with the club, has worked to build a team which is competitive in every area of the pitch.
“Miranda, [Stevan] Jovetic, [Ivan] Perisic and [Geoffrey] Kondogbia are very good players, they’ve certainly not been chosen at random.
“I can also see Roma competing for the top positions, they’ve built a great attack with Edin Dzeko and Mohamed Salah.
“There’s also Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Milan and Sarri’s Napoli.”
