It had been many weeks in the making and held up by issues with Radu Dragusin accepting the Genoa switch as part of the exchange, but Cambiaso finally signed for Juventus today.

He won’t be there long, as the 22-year-old left-back is already heading to Bologna on loan to get more regular playing time.

Udinese secured Slovenia international defender Bijol from CSKA Moscow in a deal believed to be worth €4m plus a percentage of the sell-on fee.

Former Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha put pen to paper for Brentford as a free agent.

Napoli sold Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea for €40m including bonuses, but despite completing the medical, it won’t be made official until tomorrow.
