Inter and Cagliari are reportedly considering a swap deal between Radja Nainggolan and Leonardo Pavoletti.

The Belgian midfielder has only played 45 minutes with the Nerazzurri so far this season and the club’s director of football Piero Ausilio has confirmed he could be on his way out in January.

“We have already talked to him, even recently, we have been trying to understand what his needs are,” Ausilio said before Inter's home clash against Spezia on Sunday.

“It’s normal that he wants to find more space. Inter won’t give anything to anyone, this must be clear. If we can satisfy them, we will.”

With the former Roma midfielder who is reportedly eager to return to Cagliari for his third spell in Sardinia, Calciomercato.com reports Inter are considering a swap deal between the Belgian and Leonardo Pavoletti.

Antonio Conte needs a back-up striker for Romelu Lukaku and Pavoletti is an option the Nerazzurri are considering.

Both players could move to their new clubs on loan until the end of the season, the report claims.

Pavoletti sustained a knee injury in August 2019 and has one goal in 11 Serie A appearances so far this season.
