The player has remained at Manchester City in spite of the fact that Pep Guardiola seems to have limited faith in him.

After the Coach's decision not to include Toure in the list of players available for the Champions League, his agent Dimitri Seluk spoke angrily to the Sunday Mirror.

“Maybe Guardiola feels that Yaya will be satisfied with the closing minutes of a cup game against a League One team, but that's not the case,” said Seluk.

“In January Toure isn't going to leave. He will respect his contract, even though it's almost expired, hoping to show his worth.

“The Coach's decisions must be respected, and if Guardiola wins the Champions League I will publicly hail him as the world's greatest Coach.

“But if he doesn't win, then I expect him to have courage, and admit he was wrong to humiliate a player of extremely high level like Yaya Toure.”
