Reports in France suggest that Atalanta striker El Bilal Touré could be poached by Bournemouth after VfB Stuttgart failed to finalise the deal.

The 22-year-old was the club’s record signing from UD Almeria last summer for €29.1m plus add-ons, but a serious injury sustained in pre-season meant he only got to make his debut in February 2024.

He made just 17 competitive appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

No place with Atalanta for Touré

Touré was reportedly on the verge of a move to Stuttgart last week, agreeing personal terms with the Bundesliga side and waiting for the two clubs to work out a transfer fee.

However, there has been little progress since then and now L’Equipe suggest that Premier League team Bournemouth are ready to dive in and intercept with a proposal of their own.

The Mali international turns 23 in October and has seven goals in 19 senior international caps under his belt.

Despite the season-ending injury for Gianluca Scamacca, there is still likely not much room for Touré in the Atalanta squad.
