Francesco Totti believes Roma will have no regrets if Nicolò Zaniolo joins Juventus: ‘They’ll sign someone just as good.’

The Italy international has been heavily linked with a move to the Allianz Stadium, but there is still no agreement between the two clubs.

Roma won’t let the attacking midfielder leave for less than €50-60m, but Juventus can’t afford as much and would rather get the player on loan with an obligation to buy or in a swap deal.

Totti has recently spoken to the 22-year-old who is contracted with La Lupa until 2024 and is convinced that his former club won’t regret seeing Zaniolo leave for Juventus if the three parties reach an agreement.

The Italy and Roma legend was asked if Zaniolo’s move to the Allianz Stadium would be painful for him or the club.

“No pain at all, if it happens, I know Roma will sign someone just as good,” he said after a Padel event at Villanova di Castenaso (Bologna), as quoted by SiamoLaRoma.

Roma will listen to offers for Zaniolo, given that negotiations to extend his contract have led nowhere so far. The Italy international scored only two Serie A goals last season but was decisive in the Conference League with a hat-trick in the quarter-finals second leg against Bodo/Glimt and the winner in the Final against Feyenoord.

  1. I’m sure Roma will sign someone as good but hopefully they won’t be plagued with injuries like Zaniolo who was never fit enough to even represent the National team when called up plus he needs to reign in his ego and respect team rules. Totti’s not worried and neither should we.

  2. 60m euro’s too much – id be happy with 50m euros – supposedly juve offering 4m euros as salary – which is good – however i still believe we should exchange either arthur / rabiot / mckennie plus 25meuros ontop
