Roma old boy Antonio Cassano has called on James Pallotta to make way for Francesco Totti as the club’s President.
Totti has been linked with the role of technical director at Roma in recent weeks, but Cassano believes the Giallorossi are missing a trick by not having his former strike partner installed in Pallotta’s place.
“Yes, Ranieri’s a good person,” he told Sky Sport Italia when asked if Claudio was the man take the club forward.

“I don’t know if he can start a new era, though. I’d like to see someone with character like Donadoni in Roma’s dugout.
“I’d also like to see Totti as President. He represents Roma. He’s a smart and balanced person.
“Supported by someone who advises him on the purchases of players, he can have a great career.
“Roma is Totti, not Pallotta or Baldini in London. De Rossi’s more of a Coach. Totti only says two words a day.”
