It was an evening for nostalgia at the Stadio Olimpico, with banners and chants for Francesco Totti, Jose Mourinho and Edin Dzeko.

Roma hosted Inter in Serie A and the biggest cheers of the night came before kick-off, when Giallorossi legend Totti made his entrance to this stadium for the first time in two years.

There were chants of ‘There’s only one captain’ and when he appeared on the giant screen, there was a deafening roar of cheers.

The retired player had to stand up and wave his thanks to the crowd several times before they finally calmed down.

The nostalgia theme continued during the match, as Roma supporters held up a banner for their former striker Dzeko: ‘119 times thank you.’

The Bosnian did find the net in the game and refused to celebrate against his former club.

Meanwhile, Inter ultras visiting in Rome unveiled a banner during the second half, referencing his Treble-winning campaign of 2010: ‘Eternal gratitude for Jose Mourinho.’
