Totti, too, has spoken of his desire to work with Ancelotti in the capital before his career comes to an end.

However, it remains to be seen whether a marriage will take place.

Ancelotti has told reporters that he'd like to continue working in England, while Roma have been interviewing numerous Coaches for next season.

New sporting director Walter Sabatini met Chievo boss Stefano Pioli on Friday and he has talks with other tacticians lined up.

Roma, who will officially be owned by American businessman Thomas Di Benedetto, finished the campaign in sixth, three points behind rivals Lazio.

Vincenzo Montella is currently in charge of the side after he replaced Claudio Ranieri in February following his resignation.
