Tottenham want Kessié in January, but Milan reject swap deal

Tottenham Hotspur are determined to sign Franck Kessié in the January transfer window, but according to multiple sources in Italy, Milan have rejected a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele.

Kessié is unwilling to sign a contract extension with the Rossoneri, meaning he will leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.

The Diavoli have been in talks with his agent George Atangana for a long time, but the Ivorian midfielder’s representative has requested a new €8-9m-a-year deal, while the Rossoneri offered a €6.5m-a-year contract.

Kessié is on a €2.2m-a-year deal at San Siro.

According to SportMediaset and Il Corriere della Sera, Tottenham are keen to sign the former Atalanta star in January and have offered Ndombele in a potential swap deal.

However, Milan have rejected the proposal and want to continue with Kessié until the end of the season even if they know they may not get a penny from his departure in July.
