Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie is not even in the squad for the opening Serie A game of the season against Milan, as he prepares to fly out for a Tottenham Hotspur medical.

The Friulani named their squad under new coach Andrea Sottil and Udogie is nowhere to be seen, in the starting XI or on the bench.

He had been expected to play, especially as his medical with Tottenham Hotspur is not scheduled until Tuesday.

Udogie was due to fly out tomorrow and have the tests, sign the contract, then return to Udinese on loan for the rest of the season.

The transfer will be worth in the region of €18m plus another €7m in various add-ons.

He is an Italy Under-21 international born and raised in Verona to Nigerian parents.
