Tottenham ready to move for Damsgaard?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly continuing to look for new players in Serie A and have targeted a move for Sampdoria youngster Mikkel Damsgaard.

Spurs, who appointed Fabio Paratici as their new sporting director, are naturally looking for new signings in the Italian top flight this summer and seem close to completing a move for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero.

After reinforcing Nuno Espirito Santo’s defence at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Londoners are looking for new attackers and Evening Standard reports Damsgaard has emerged as a target.

Damsgaard arrived at Samp last summer and impressed in his first season with the Blucerchiati and grabbed the chance to shine when Denmark reached the semi-finals at the Euros this summer.

The 21-year-old scored two great goals to catch the attention of the European giants, including a free kick against England in the semi-final.

Ferrero offers Damsgaard to Roma: ‘They just need to call me’

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero said he wants the Denmark international to move to Roma, and insisted he would find a solution if the Giallorossi contact him this summer, but the player is continuously linked with moves to the Premier League.

The newspaper claims Aston Villa and Liverpool are interested as well and that the clubs might have to spend at least €50m to secure his services.
