Antonio Conte has made it clear that he wants Tottenham to sign Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi in January and an offer is reportedly being prepared.
The 29-year-old Ukrainian was heavily linked with a move away from Bergamo last summer, being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest, but ultimately remained in the North of Italy. With less than a year left on his contract with Atalanta, Malinovskyi could be sold for a fairly low price in January, attracting the attention of a number of clubs.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham have chosen to focus on Malinovskyi in January and are currently preparing an offer worth around €15-18m for the 29-year-old, getting close to Atalanta’s demands.
Olympique Marseille have also been keeping their eye on Malinovskyi for a while now and had planned a possible swap deal with Amine Harit before his recent knee injury. It’s hard to imagine the Ligue 1 side matching Spurs’ offer, however.
Such superstar, so cheap, looks like Atalanta good times are coming to the end
