Timo Werner and Micky van de Ven surprisingly used the same Italian world to congratulate Guglielmo Vicario following Spurs’ 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Italy international Vicario keeps impressing for Tottenham and contributed to Spurs’ 3-1 win over Forest on Sunday with five saves.

The former Empoli star celebrated Tottenham’s latest win on Instagram, thanking the English club’s supporters for an “amazing” atmosphere in North London.

Vicario’s social media post received over 45,000 likes and nearly 400 comments in less than 24 hours, including two from his teammates van de Ven and Werner.

Which Italian word Tottenham players told Vicario

Surprisingly, both players used the same Italian word, lungo, which means ‘long.’

It is still unclear why the Spurs duo commented with such a word, but their social media activity surely confirms that Vicario is a loved figure inside the Tottenham dressing room.

The 27-year-old has recently made his senior Italy debut, starting in a 2-0 win over Ecuador during the March break.

Vicario has conceded 46 goals in 33 games this season, keeping seven clean sheets.
