Roma are reportedly considering making a move for Tottenham’s Harry Winks as they look for a new midfielder following Georginio Wijnaldum’s injury.

The 31-year-old Dutch midfielder joined the Giallorossi earlier this month on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, keen for a new experience after a tough year in France, but things started in the worst possible way, with the player breaking his tibia in training. Roma now need to find another player to shore up Jose Mourinho’s midfield as the team look to fight for a top four finish.

As reported by Il Tempo and La Repubblica, the latest player in Roma’s sights in Tottenham outcast Winks, who has failed to convince Antonio Conte in North London and so has been transfer listed. The Englishman hardly made a start in the second half of last season and hasn’t made a single appearance this campaign.

The Giallorossi are exploring a possible dry loan deal for the 26-year-old, hoping to add a short-term reinforcement to their midfield as soon as possible.
