Harry Winks is one of just four midfielders to play every available minute over the last five Serie A games, finally finding consistency after a difficult few years.

The English midfielder joined the Blucerchiati on loan last summer but had to wait to make his debut, carrying a frustrating ankle injury. After more than four months on the sidelines, Winks made his first appearance for Sampdoria in their 1-0 loss to Empoli on January 16th.

Since then, Winks has started to grow into an important player for the Ligurian outfit and is seemingly enjoying his football again after finding a new lease of life in Italy.

Winks is one of just four midfielders to have played every minute across the last five Serie A games, alongside Adrien Rabiot, Walace and Morten Hjulmand.

The 27-year-old Englishman is on track to start again in Sampdoria’s clash with Lazio tonight, and he has not played six full games as a starter since January 2019, when he was at Tottenham.

Wink’s loan deal has a €25m buy option attached, a fee the Blucerchiati are unlikely to pay as they prepare for relegation to Serie B.
