Ruslan Malinovskyi, who was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham and Nottingham Forest in the summer, has reportedly penned a new deal with Atalanta.

The 29-year-old Ukrainian forward was the subject of multiple transfer rumours in the summer as he entered the final year of his contract, with reports suggesting that Nottingham Forest and Tottenham were both keen to pick him up. A move never materialised and Malinovskyi started the campaign in a relatively uninspiring fashion, last contributing to a goal back in August.

As reported by TMW, Malinovskyi signed a two-year contract renewal with Atalanta earlier this week, tying him to the club until 2025. His wife Roxana clearly didn’t want to leave Italy in the summer and the renewal may allow him to fully focus on the pitch now, clearing his head of the transfer noise.

Last season, Malinovskyi scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 41 games across all competitions.
