Aston Villa would represent a return, seeing as Atalanta signed him from the Premier League side in 2017 on loan, making it permanent for €3.8m at the end of that campaign.

Milan have also been linked with Gollini as a replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the Italy international’s contract is running down.
