Tottenham have reportedly been in discussions to bring Romelu Lukaku to North London after losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, which is not good news for Juventus and their hopes of completing a swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Spurs, who have already brought in Milan-linked Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central, are in desperate need of a proven, experienced goalscorer to replace the recently-departed England captain.

There has reportedly been contact between Tottenham and Chelsea recently, and it is believed that negotiations shouldn’t be too complicated for Ange Postecoglu’s side.

Juventus have also been trying to sign Lukaku this summer, and have been pursuing a part-exchange deal that would involve Vlahovic moving to Stamford Bridge plus an extra fee.

However, the Bianconeri do not hold all of the cards in that scenario as Chelsea are apparently not willing to match Juve’s valuation of Vlahovic.

Talks between Juventus and Chelsea have not progressed recently, meaning that the path is clear for Lukaku to join Tottenham if negotiations move forwards in the coming days.
