Harry Kane is expected to have his Bayern Munich medical today, so Tottenham need a replacement for the €100m striker and that could include Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen or Romelu Lukaku.

After months of negotiations, the two clubs finally struck an agreement today and Kane was allowed to fly out for his medical in Germany.

With the Premier League season kicking off this weekend, it gives Spurs very little time to find a replacement, but that search is bound to cross over with Serie A stories and even set off a domino effect.

The top target would likely be Osimhen, but that also seems improbable, as Napoli are on the verge of agreeing a new contract with the Nigeria international and would not even sit down at the table to discuss under €150m.

Vlahovic seems more plausible, as Juventus were already prepared to let him leave to Chelsea in order to get Lukaku, although the Stamford Bridge side scuppered that idea because they refused to add on an extra €40m.

If Tottenham are prepared to pay at least €80m in cash, then the Serbian striker would be given the all-clear to depart Turin, where he does not fit well with coach Max Allegri’s tactics.

An even more surprising alternative has been proposed by the Daily Mail and Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest Tottenham could just go straight in for Chelsea outcast Lukaku, who is valued at €40m.

That would see the Belgian crossing the city to a different London club, although he would seem to have his heart set on Juventus and his only other alternative is the Saudi Pro League.
