Tottenham Hotspur are considering a January bid for Roma star Nicolò Zaniolo, claim reports, as the other Italian clubs would only make an offer in the summer.

Zaniolo’s situation at the Stadio Olimpico is increasingly tense after he was openly jeered by a section of the fans during the 1-0 Coppa Italia win over Genoa.

Recent performances and his general attitude have irritated the club hierarchy and with his contract set to expire in June 2024, there is no progress over negotiating a new deal.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are thinking about a January swoop for the 23-year-old Italy international.

West Ham United and Nottingham Forrest are also tracking the situation.

With his contract running down, the price-tag is also plummeting from €50m to €30m.

There has been interest from Serie A sides such as Juventus, Napoli and Milan, but they would only be in a condition to make a proposal at the end of the season.

Zaniolo saw his career stalled by two serious knee injuries, but scored the winner in last term’s Europa Conference League Final.

So far this season he has two goals and three assists in 17 competitive appearances for Roma.

  1. Take him! Please! He dives a ton in Serie A and he will be destroyed in EPL. He talent and skills are wasteful and only matched by the size of his ego and sense of entitlement.

  2. I think this dude is done. Maybe he will add something to a new team after transfer with new increased motivation to show his talent but in Roma he’s done. Atm can’t score a goal to save his life.

  3. completly useless
no talent not motivation . nothing able to do !
this guy is a media-fake-overrated loser
