Adrien Rabiot is lighting up the World Cup and Serie A this season with Juventus, but he’ll be out of contract in June, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur interested after Manchester United backed out.

The midfielder is in the form of his life at the moment, especially after contributing a goal and an assist in France’s 4-1 World Cup opener against Australia.

It continues the kind of performances he already showed for Juve this season, where he scored five goals and had two assists in 16 games between Serie A and the Champions League.

However, he had been on the verge of a transfer to Manchester United over the summer, which had the two clubs in full agreement, but the Premier League side baulked at his €10m per season contract demands.

That request remains the same for an extension at Juventus, which is why he may well be released as a free agent, just as Paulo Dybala was a few months ago.

According to Calciomercato.com, Rabiot’s performances mean he has no shortage of clubs prepared to offer that kind of salary.

They are all in the Premier League, specifically Chelsea, Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs could well have the upper hand, considering Spurs director Fabio Paratici was at Juventus when they signed Rabiot as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.

  1. Veronique is a genius. Save the best till last and very clever for these two intellectual scholars to now have leverage over the 1/6 x 7/9 = new contract + PhD Max recommendation. Once he signs a new deal and the ink is barely dry, habitat coma time returns.
