Sky Sports News report Antonio Conte is flying back to England from Italy today after undergoing surgery last week.

The Italian tactician had been diagnosed with cholecystitis and had surgery in Italy to have his gallbladder removed last week.

He remained on the Peninsula for a few days and is expected to fly back to England today.

Sky Sports News report the ex-Inter and Juventus boss will return on Wednesday to London, where he will continue his recovery.

Conte missed Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Manchester City last week and it’s still unclear whether he will be on the touchline for Spurs’ away game at Leicester City on Saturday.

Next week, Tottenham will return to Italy to face defending Serie A champions Milan in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at San Siro.

The Italian tactician said a few hours after his surgery last week that the operation went well and that he could not wait to get back on the pitch with his team.
