Tottenham have started the process to understand if sporting director Fabio Paratici will be able to continue in his role after the FIGC court handed him a 30-month ban.

Paratici was one of a handful of current or former Juventus directors to be handed a ban by the Federal Court of Appeals following the reopening of the sporting trial against the Bianconeri, focused on their usage of falsified capital gains. The Old Lady have been given a 15-point penalty in Serie A, seeing them drop to 10th in the table.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Tottenham were immediately concerned about Paratici’s future following the ruling and have started the process to understand the situation and nature of the Italian director’s 30-month ban.

The FIGC court have asked the ruling to be extended to both UEFA and FIFA, which would effectively force Paratici to leave his role with the North London club.

Paratici’s departure could also have repercussions for coach Antonio Conte, whose contract expires with Spurs at the end of this season. The pair are close and the sporting director’s exit may push the coach not to sign a new deal.
