Multiple reports in Italy claim Ruslan Malinovskyi is no longer on good terms with Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini, so La Dea may sell him to Tottenham or Marseille.

The Ukraine international has been a key part of the Atalanta squad over the last few seasons and was expected to be a regular starter at the Gewiss Stadium in 2022-23.

However, the player’s wife suggested on Thursday that Malinovskyi is being pushed out of the club. Early reports claimed there were issues between the 29-year-old and Atalanta directors, but the problem seems to be between the player and Gasperini.

Sportitalia’s Michele Criscitiello claims the pair clashed in July after a friendly clash between La Dea and Newcastle. TMW confirms Malinovskyi and Gasperini are no longer on good terms.

The 29-year-old only played six minutes in Atalanta’s opener against Sampdoria on Saturday. Tottenham are interested in the player and are considering a swap deal with Sergio Reguillon, while Marseille could offer ex-Roma winger Cengiz Under as part of the agreement.

  1. This guy has clashed with many players in the team. He should really start asking himself some questions.

  2. That’s a shame, the guy kicks like a hammer. Really, since Gomez left the team, they haven’t had the same fire when they play. Has Atalanta fizzled out as currently put together (staff and players)…
