Although Juventus are open to selling Weston McKennie, they are not interested in swapping the American midfielder with Moussa Sissoko, it’s reported.

The Old Lady is willing to sell McKennie for €25-30m and according to reports in Italy, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Everton are interested in securing the player’s services.

McKennie set for Juventus exit: Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa interested

A report from Tuttosport had claimed the Bianconeri would consider a swap deal with Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko, but Sky Sport Italia correspondent Fabrizio Romano denies the two clubs are in talks to finalise the deal.

Tottenham director Fabio Paratici remain an admirer of the American midfielder who he signed one year ago from Schalke 04 on an initial loan deal.

Juventus made his move permanent for €18.5m in March, but Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly not convinced by the 22-year-old, so the Bianconeri are now open to selling him for an adequate offer.

The Serie A giants have signed Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo, but they would welcome one more midfielder if McKennie leaves.

5 thought on “Tottenham and Juventus not interested in swap deal involving McKennie”
  1. Typical Allegri prefers players over 30yrs old,
has no time for promising younsters,
Good luck u Juve fans with him at the helm,
I’m glad ACM got rid of him 9ys ago & never rehired him,

  2. @ Acm, stupid comment. Who cares what type of players he prefers. We haven’t won anything since Allegri left. Meanwhile, he won 5 scudettos in a row with Juventus and is also the coach with the highest winning % in Juventus’ history. He also went to 2 UCL finals.

  3. Vero Rossonero u forgot to mentioned that
Allegri’s 5 scudetto wins & highest % wins was when Seria A was on its knees without any real competition.
Where where the Atalantas, Milan, Inter, Napoli, Lazio & Roma‘s who are now on par.

  4. Acm, are they on par or has Juventus decreased? I would say only Inter is truly “on par” if not even superior to Juve at this point, even without Lukaku and Hakimi. Napoli and Roma were very strong teams during that time and only managed to get within 4 points of the title in one season each. They have both dropped of steeply in the last 2-3 seasons. Funny, Juventus’ troubles began when they let go of Allegri, which is further to my point. In Allegri’s 5 years at Juve, they finished with less than 90pts only once, in his first season, and still only lost 3 games that season. You gloss over the two UCL finals. A team whose final standing is aided by a “weak league” doesn’t do that. It took PSG (club in a league without any real competition) years and 100s of millions of Euros to finally make it to the UCL final.

  5. P.S. Our troubles also began after Allegri left us. They fired him and we didn’t make it back into the UCL until this season, after millions spent on the market and through two ownership changes.
