Tottenham Hotspur are increasing their offer for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic to €60m including bonuses, sparking a bidding war with Atletico Madrid.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, Spurs are stepping up their attempts to get the Serbian striker after already raiding Serie A for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero.
Vlahovic is the next target, seemingly regardless of whether Harry Kane stays at Tottenham or goes to Manchester City in a €120m move.
Atletico Madrid had made a proposal believed to be worth €50m plus bonuses, so a bidding war has erupted between the clubs.
The 21-year-old is currently negotiating a new contract with Fiorentina, but it’s reported that would include a release clause set at €70m.
If a club therefore approaches that target now, they could be tempted into a sale, especially as the salary has not yet been agreed with his agent.
Vlahovic scored 21 goals in Serie A last season, but the Viola remained battling against relegation until the final few weeks.
