Lucas Torreira has reportedly been offered to Juventus and his agent Pablo Bentancur has confirmed that the Arsenal midfielder wants to stay in Italy.

The Uruguay international has returned to the Emirates Stadium after a season-long spell at Fiorentina.

The Tuscans failed to make his move permanent, but the player would like to stay in Serie A, as confirmed by his agent Pablo Bentancur.

According to Gazzetta, Torreira has been offered to Juventus as his representative is the same as Radu Dragusin.

The Juventus centre-back is in talks with Genoa but hasn’t yet agreed to join the Grifone, putting Andrea Cambiaso’s transfer to the Allianz Stadium on hold.

“Torreira would like to stay in Italy,” Bentancur told Sportitalia when asked about Juventus rumours.

“However, Arsenal has included him in the pre-season squad, so he seems to be part of the plans.”

Torreira had joined the Gunners from Sampdoria in a €29m deal in 2018. However, he has been struggling with playing time in North London and was sent out on loan at Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina.

The 26-year-old scored five goals in 25 appearances with the Tuscans and his contract with Arsenal runs out in June 2023.

  1. I mean, if he’s offered to us then offer them ramsey in return lol. I’d only take him if it’s a straight swap between him and Ramsey. Otherwise no thank you.
